We include a supply of Tiger Worms (Eisenia Fetida) worms with all our Wormeries as standard. These worms are the best worms for composting as they eat their body weight in organic matter per day and tolerate a wide range of conditions - making them perfect for use inside your Wormery. We send the worms in a breathable membrane in some bedding.
However, there may be occasions where you would rather have the worms sent on at a later date - most commonly if you are purchasing the Wormery as a gift for somebody. This is because the worms will only survive for a week or two inside their packaging. When you or the recipient are ready to receive the worms, you just pop the postcard voucher back in the post to us and on receipt of this we'll send the worms directly out to the address on the voucher.
If you require a Worm Voucher - no problem - just specify this in the "Additional Comments" box when you place your order. Otherwise your Wormery will be sent with the worms by default.
