Our classic Wormery range all feature a rubberised compression lid-seal, first pioneered on our Original Wormery. The aim of the seal is to minimise the risk of attracting flies to the Wormery and also to keep the worms in - most important during the first few months when they may explore. It also helps to keep the lid tightly sealed on to the Wormery.
Though not essential, for example neither The Worm Works nor the Pet Poo Loo Wormery have this, it is a 'nice-to-have'.
